  • Dear colleagues, leaders of Higher Education Organizations and Networks,

We are pleased to herewith send you the programme of the IAU Global Meeting of Associations (GMA 6)! This 6th edition of the GMA will focus on Social Innovation and how higher education organizations and their Members can contribute to and help increase it. The GMA will be held from 6 - 8 May 2015 at the Université de Montréal, in Montreal, Canada. This GMA will gather experts from some 14 countries from all 5 continents, perspectives vary and missions connect! Come, debate and share your views.

GMAs offer a unique opportunity for leaders and higher education organizations to network and exchange on opportunities and challenges they face in their work. Networking at IAU events has led to many long-term collaborations and joint projects across the world. Without the IAU, some of these connections would have been difficult to make. Our members tell us that coming to our conferences is helpful to them professionally because they meet a body of international experts they would not necessarily meet elsewhere and who are facing similar questions relating to management, leadership, governance and practice. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the Members of the IAU Administrative Board. Our Board is made up of elected representatives from across 5 continents and we work hard to ensure geographical representation and gender balance on our committees, so that we take the Association forward in a way that values the differences in cultural and academic approaches to opportunities and issues we often share.

We hope you’ll come to Montreal and enjoy the beautiful Canadian hospitality in spring time while exploring approaches to social innovation around the world. To register online, please go to www.etouches.com/iaugma6. If registered already, thank you, and please do not hesitate to share with other networks you would like to associate with this event.
